Mr. Victor F. Banks was born in Anguilla
and raised in Valley South. Mr. Banks is the
present the Minister of Finance, Economic
Development, Investment, Commerce and
Tourism in the Government of Anguilla. He
also owns Banx Professional Services in
the Herbert’s Commercial Centre.
Mr. Banks attended the Valley Secondary
School where he graduated in 1963, and
then he completed his Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Sciences at the
University of the Virgin Islands. In 1975 he graduated from the
New School for Social Research with a Masters in Political
Science and Economics.
Mr. Banks has held several offices in the Ministry of Government.
These are listed below.
1981 to 1984 Minister of Social Services.
1994 to 1999 Minister of Finance and Economic Development.
2000 to 2005 Minister of Finance, Economic Development,
Investment and Commerce.
2005 to present Minister of Finance, Economic Development,
Investment, Commerce and Tourism.
Mr. Banks has served Anguilla as a legislator through all aspects
of national development and he is always willing to provide a
helping hand wherever he can.
